RATB va prelungi in noaptea de Revelion, intre orele 23:30-05:30, programul de circulatie pentru 29 de linii de transport in comun, care vor functiona la intervale de 30 de minute.
Liniile care vor circula in noaptea de Revelion, sunt urmatoarele: 5, 7, 20, 21, 27, 32, 34, 41, 44, 45, 46, 55, 76, 85, 93, 104, 117, 123, 131, 137, 168, 178, 311, 313, 323, 331, 368, 385 si 616.
Acestea vor urma in general traseele de baza, fiind orientate spre zona Piata Romana-Piata Universitatii-Piata Unirii, se arata intr-un comunicat RATB.
In plus, intre orele 1:00-3:00, se vor organiza 4 linii speciale, care vor pleca de la Piata Unirii (capatul liniei 783) spre cartiere, pe urmatoarele trasee:
1. Piata Unirii – Bd. Unirii, Bd. Decebal, Sos. Mihai Bravu, Str. Vatra Luminoasa, Bd. Pierre de Coubertin – Stadionul National.
2. Piata Unirii – Bd. Regina Maria, Bd. George Cosbuc, Str. Odoarei, Sos. Viilor, Sos. Giurgiului – CFR Progresul.

Promoters behind Madonna and Metallica’s concerts are being probed over claims they failed to pay tax on the stars’ performances. A group of 13 promoters were said to be under investigation by the National Revenue Agency (NRA). According to the Sofia Echo, they did not pay a 10 per cent tax levied on gigs in Bulgaria, including performances by the Queen of Pop and the veteran rockers, reports the Daily Express. The gap was apparently revealed during an overall probe conducted by the NRA into the income of Bulgarian entertainers.

Jordan a.k.a Katie Price will reportedly welcome the New Year with a 20,000-pound bash. The glamour girl is purportedly planning to throw a blow-out party for her celebrity friends at home in Surrey. “She can’t wait to start 2010,” the Daily Star quoted a friend of the model as saying. Guests expected to make it to the evening planned with booze, food and fireworks include Michelle Heaton and Blue star Duncan James.
Lady Gaga is reportedly eyeing to collaborate with Susan Boyle after declaring the Britain’s Got Talent star her “woman of the year”. The pop singer confessed she was more than impressed with the Scottish singer who shot to fame with her jaw dropping audition on the talent show earlier this year. “I love Susan Boyle. She is my woman of the year. She has achieved more in this year than most artists will in a lifetime,” the Daily Star quoted her as saying. “This time last year nobody even knew who she was and now she is knocking the world’’s most established artists off the album and singles charts,” she added. The Poker Face hitmaker further said: “Our styles are different. I don”t know if we could work together, but never say never. It would be great to work with somebody of that talent.”

Film director Peter Jackson has revealed that he finds being awarded a knighthood better than winning an Oscar. Jackson, 48, who is a winner of more than a dozen Academy Awards, was made a Knight Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the New Year Honours. “This is an incredible moment in my life. I didn’t think anything would surpass the 2004 Academy Awards, but I was wrong,” the New Zealand Herald quoted him as saying. “The feeling of gratitude and pride I have in accepting this honour from my home country is profound,” he stated. Sir Peter was made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2002, and has “continued to excel in and significantly contribute to the New Zealand film industry”, the citation for his knighthood read. “I feel very lucky to be able to make movies in New Zealand and I will always be grateful for the support I have received from so many New Zealanders,” Jackson said. He sees the knighthood as “recognition of the collective achievement of our terrific crews and our film pioneers … who trail blazed a path towards the creation of a modern Kiwi film industry”.
